We, the undersigned, support women’s health and rights around the world and call on the Obama Administration and 111th Congress to restore the US to its position of leadership in international reproductive health and family planning by taking action to:

• Increase US investment in international family planning and reproductive health programs to $1 billion. These programs yield an array of benefits, including improved maternal and child health, fewer unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions, lower HIV rates, and higher standards of living. 
    
• Permanently repeal the Global Gag Rule, a harmful policy that prohibits foreign organizations that provide abortion-related services or information from receiving any US family planning funding, even if that funding does not go to abortion.
