Foundation Gifts

Pathfinder International is grateful to the many foundations that support our work around the globe. Foundations are often uniquely positioned to support the launch of innovative and creative projects and Pathfinder has a history of successfully leveraging foundation grants to attract investments from other sources. We receive foundation grants for both general operating support and project-specific activities.

For several years, Pathfinder has actively worked to diversify our funding base. The percentage of our budget that comes from non-US government sources has increased from just four percent in 1995 to 18 percent in 2006. Eleven percent of our budget in 2006 came from foundation gifts.
